Welcome to the home page of "One Track Minds", the model railway group based in and around Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK
The idea of starting "One Track Minds" was born on a flight back to the UK from New Zealand in May 2006. Ian Hammond and Barry Norman had visited the bi-annual model railway convention held in Feilding and had seen some interesting new ideas which just shouted out to be passed on to UK railway modellers. The discussion was centred around forming a group of railway modellers who were interested in improving and developing new modelling skills. As a result, this group was formed with several, invited like minded guys and now meets on a monthly basis to discuss, debate and share new ideas and experiment - some work others fail but that's our hobby! We took the idea of the name from a similar group based in Christchurch NZ, remembering that there is nothing new in this world, just refinements!
